Scott Massie Chief Executive Officer
Scott Massie joined CRS on August 1, 2009 as its CEO, and is responsible for developing and executing the company’s strategic plans on a global basis. Scott is a 20-year veteran of the solar and semiconductor industries where he has held a number of key positions including both CEO and COO. Prior to joining CRS, Scott served as CEO of EPV Solar from 2007 to 2009 and as Executive Vice President at EMCORE Corporation from 2003 to 2006. Having held executive roles at both public and privately held companies, Scott brings a unique range of leadership skills to his role as CEO that includes experience in materials engineering, R&D, operations, energy & wafer technology and global business development. Scott is a graduate of Virginia Tech University where he earned bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and physics as well as a master’s degree in physics.
William L. Lawrence President
Bill Lawrence founded the original company in 1981 with three other partners. He has taken the company through multiple stages of growth, ownership, technology innovations and market strategies. Bill is responsible for global Technology and Development, Process Design and Development, Project Engineering and is member of the Board of Directors. He focuses on new strategic technologies and how they can be applied to existing and new market niches. Prior to the founding of CRS, Bill had a variety of process design and senior operations management responsibilities for Stauffer Chemical Company (now Akzo Chemical). He is a registered Professional Engineer, a holder of three process patents and is a graduate of Vanderbilt University with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
Steven R. Ragan Vice president_sales + Marketing
Steve Ragan is responsible for all global sales and marketing aspects of CRS, including both current service niches along with prospective step-out offers. Steve has been a part of the CRS family for over 18 years, initially managing all financial and capital raising and eventually evolving into global business development. In 2003, he initiated and was largely responsible for establishing the European slurry reprocessing business. Steve has a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from Wittenberg University along with a master’s degree in business from Bellarmine University.
W. Scott Radeker IV Vice president_Operations
Scott Radeker manages all of CRS operations world-wide. He has more than a decade of experience in the manufacturing of silicon wafers, including wire slicing and slurry reprocessing. Scott has a master’s degree in engineering management from Washington University in St. Louis and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Todd Phillips Chief Financial Officer
Todd Phillips comes to CRS with proven experience as Chief Financial Officer for a major INC 500-listed energy company. His responsibilities include fiscal management of CRS’s global operations in areas of budgetary performance, financial reporting, and information technology. Todd supervises investor and lender relationships, while overseeing administrative operations and human resources within the corporation’s U.S. headquarters. In addition to his background in private-equity investment and high-growth, global markets, Todd is a Certified Public Accountant and graduate of the University of Kentucky, with degrees in both finance and accounting.
Wolfram Schimke General Manager_Europe
With more than 25 years of international management experience, Wolfram Schimke brings a proven record of developing new markets for emerging technologies, and building strategic relationships within the Greater European market. Wolfram has held senior positions in some of Europe’s most innovative capital equipment and high-tech firms, including Q-Cells, Applied Materials, Infineon and Siemens. His responsibilities include managing CRS on-site operations, financial performance and strategic development throughout Europe. Wolfram studied business at the University of Passau and University of Regensburg.
